Note - as of Brick version 1.1.7, you can block individual websites! So if you’re just trying to block a handful of websites, you can select those websites (just like you would with any app) instead of setting up this Shortcut.

For those who would like to prevent access to Safari when they are Bricked, here is a solution using Apple Shortcuts.

  1. Open the Shortcuts App

  7. Next, press “Add Action”, then search “Brick” and click the “Is Brick mode enabled?” Action

  8. Your screen should now look like this. Next, click “If”

  9. Now add another action by pressing the bottom search bar. If you’re seeing “Brick” instead of the search bar, you just need to click the (x) to exit the prompt and the search bar should show up (See 2nd screenshot)

  11. Next select the “Open App” Action

  12. Choose the Brick app

  13. Move the “Open Brick” action from the bottom of the screen to right below the “If” action

  14. Now just make sure the “Shortcuts” app will be blocked when you are Bricked and you will be set! Now anytime you try to open Safari when you are Bricked, it will automatically redirect you to the Brick app, therefore eliminating access to browser distractions.
